Role Overview

As an SRE / DevOps Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering and operations. Your core responsibility is to ensure the reliability, availability, performance, and security of the Classcard platform as it scales.

This role focuses on building resilient infrastructure, automating deployments, monitoring system health, and reducing operational risk across a multi-tenant SaaS environment, while enabling product teams to ship faster with predictable uptime and performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure & Reliability (Core)

• Manage and maintain production and non-production infrastructure across cloud environments (Linux servers, Nginx/load balancers, MySQL, Redis, message queues, and supervisor-managed worker fleets)
• Ensure high availability and reliability of core services including APIs, background workers, authentication, and real-time systems
• Manage application deployments across multiple environments while minimizing downtime and release risk
• Collaborate with backend engineers to identify performance bottlenecks and improve system resilience
• Help us adopt Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible) for repeatable, auditable environments
• Help define SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets to align reliability with business priorities
